Andy Marcum

Born and raised amidst the breathtaking beauty of Wallowa County in Enterprise, Oregon, Andy Marcum's life journey is a remarkable tale of service, leadership, and unwavering dedication to his community. After graduating from high school in 2005, he initially pursued a college education for two years but soon realized that his true calling lay elsewhere. In December 2006, Andy made a pivotal decision to join the Marine Corps as a Military Police Officer, setting the course for a transformative career.

During his military service, Andy excelled at every turn. He graduated at the top of his class and was handpicked to attend the prestigious Military Working Dog Course at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, where he honed his skills as a K-9 Handler. Over the next three years, stationed at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina, he crisscrossed the nation as a patrol and explosive detection dog handler, working with the Secret Service at the United Nations General Assembly and captivating civilian audiences with Military K-9 Demonstrations. This period not only fortified his professional expertise but also nurtured his abilities as a charismatic public speaker, adept at connecting with people from all walks of life.

In 2010, Andy embarked on a deployment to Afghanistan, attached to the 3rd Battalion 5th Marine Division from Camp Pendleton, California. His valor and dedication earned him a 100% disability rating upon his return in 2011. Andy and his wife, Lindsey, then chose to transition to civilian life and start their family. Today, the Marcum family, including their four children, proudly call Enterprise, Oregon, their home. Andy continues to serve his community in multiple capacities, leading the way in youth programs, managing the Vegetation Department for Wallowa County, and serving as the Hunting/Fishing Program Director and Hunting Guide for Cross the Divide. His legacy of commitment and leadership inspires those around him to strive for excellence and contribute positively to their communities.
