Meet Our Team
Lyle Mcdonald
Born in Daly City, California, and raised in Southern Oregon, Lyle enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 2007. Soon after, he attended the Marine Corps School of Infantry at Camp Pendleton, emerging as an 0311 Infantry Rifleman.
Lyle served as a SAW Gunner with 1st Battalion 3rd Marines (1/3) Alpha Company 2nd Platoon during the deployment to Al-Karmah, Al Anbar Province, Iraq, from 2008 to 2009. He then deployed to Nawa, Helmand Province, Afghanistan, in 2009-2010, as an Infantry Team Leader. Lyle deployed 2 more times to Kabul Afghanistan as a State Department Private Security Contractor, working on a Mobile Team providing personal protection for Congressional Delegates.
After his time as a uniformed and contracted warfighter, Lyle and his wife Katy, a fellow Marine Corps veteran, along with their three daughters, Ella, Lily and Andi, made a pivotal decision in 2018 to establish roots in Summerville, Oregon. Here, they took ownership of a certified organic farm, symbolizing a new beginning for their family. Beyond traditional farming, Lyle assumed the role of an Organic Consultant through Oregon Tilth, sharing his expertise in sustainable agriculture practices.
Lyle is actively involved in developing a drone service company operating within the Pacific Northwest, aligning with his commitment to contribute to his local community and beyond. Amidst his diverse endeavors, Lyle discovered peace and healing in the outdoors, particularly through hunting and fishing in eastern Oregon with his family. His faith in God through Christ and his profound connection with nature inspired a desire to share these experiences with fellow veterans and their families, offering a pathway to healing, making memories with loved ones and a deeper connection with our Creator.
Moving forward, Lyle remains committed to sharing the healing power of God’s Love and Creation with veterans and the wider community.
