Mike Strong

Mike Strong and his wife, Torrie, grew up in northeast Indiana where they now raise their children, Everett (7) and Lucy (4). Mike was raised in a Christian home where his Father ministered the local Nazarene Church, and continues to minister after 40 years! Mike credits his Father to getting him involved in the outdoors at a young age where he began to grow his passion of hunting whitetail deer.

Mike joined the United States Marine Corps Reserves in 2010 as a Motor Transportation Operator. In 2012 he was activated and deployed to combat with CLB-2 out of Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. He served in Helmand Province, Afghanistan from 2012-2013, and was Honorably Discharged from the Marine Corps Reserves in 2018. Mike’s wife, Torrie, also served honorably in the United States Air Force.

After returning from Afghanistan in 2013, Mike began a career in Law Enforcement as a Corrections Officer in LaGrange County Indiana. After 5 years in the Jail division, Mike was promoted to a Sheriff’s Deputy in 2018 where he continues to serve the community he grew up in.

Mike is also a pro-staff member of the outdoor show, Buckventures/The Woodsman, and is featured on The Sportsman Channel and MyOutdoor TV. Mike has a passion for getting Veterans involved in hunting and the outdoors. Throughout the year Mike hosts local Veteran hunts in his community along with Cross The Divide hunts.

During Mike’s free time he owns/operates a thermal drone recovery business, Outdoorsman Drone Recovery LLC. Mike turned his passion for hunting into a small business where he assists other hunters locate their game, and concerned citizens locate their pets/livestock.

Mike is excited to partner with Cross The Divide to build relationships with other Veterans through God’s great outdoors!
